Sense, Nonsense, and Not-Sense

It is better than the status quo, and when all is said and done, there will be praise for it. Compared to what it could have been, at least according to perception of how much power the Democratic caucus could have wielded, it will be considered a disappointing failure. Especially so if insurance premiums continue to rise at a breakneck pace and insurance companies continue to be seen as arbitrarily denying coverage of pricing people out of it because they become unprofitable.

Yeah, we'll take it, whatever it is, but there will be a lot of hurt feelings about what could have been, owing perhaps as much to a distorted view as to how much power the Democratic caucus and President really had as much as to how the process has been systematically chipping away at good reform to make it a passable bill.
