A day off? Not by design...
...but I didn't try to do my usual metric tonne of work today. It was nice. Especially since there were some reprieves handed down on assignments and rearrangements of the scheduling. Everything looks nicer, now. So I took a little time off because I had a lot of other things to do through today. I did sneak in a little work, but it looks like the majority of the nonsense is going to happen tomorrow, as I clean off several assignments and consign them to my printer. From there, a little poking about to see what the scene actually has to offer for a bit - I need to go out more often.
Would also appear that I have the good grace of predicting one of my major sources of strange stuff - DRT produced no less than three links on the subject of whether or not the Christian churches have fallen away from the teachings. Leading off tonight is the Yeshuan Discordian, who takes Scripture and shakes it to see what falls out that's important and has been overlooked. From there, there's a somewhat lengthy piece about how anti-intellectualism has found its greatest roots and allies - in the faith-based community.
And then there's the flat-out allegation - the message of Christ is being buried in the modern evangelical traditions.
Politics is similarly stupid - Bush: Open Mouth, eat foot on things like China and Taiwan.
