Ideally the specifics of his son's crime shouldn't be an issue. But it speaks to a very unChristian-like mind set. It's an issue because Huckabee claims a holier-than-thou grip on the laws that govern the rest of us. Huckabee, who classifies homosexuality as just as deviant as necrophilia, and any other candidate who wishes to pass laws dictating who we marry, how we behave in public and in private, is on the line for a son who isn't exhibiting the preferred Christian behavior. Not because I think every hypocrite running for office deserves as much bad press, and bad luck as possible, although that would be nice.
