SACD is rippable if you've got one of their special players that rips as well, but as i said, they don't make 'em any longer. they're some form of DSD, and there are other manufacturers that still make 'em, but they're all around $250, and rather rare, as SACD wasn't a commercial success. the thing that really irks me, though, is that i didn't find out that it was SACD until after i had already bought the non-returnable disk. it's music that i really want (antiphonal brass music by giovanni gabrielli), so i'm holding on to the disk on the off chance that someone i know has something that can play it, but it's really, really annoying that i didn't find out until it was too late.
