Eventide Stuff...
...Boss and I are still on good terms, from the look of things. She didn't put spiny stuff in me and I found out a little bit more why I couldn't get a hold of her cell phone for a while. She's okay now, but I really would rather her not put herself in those kinds of situations, but my boss is very much an active person, and she would not give an inch until she's sure that everything is running like the well-oiled machine. Even then, she'd keep checking in just to make sure, holding an oil can. Right now, she's feeling a little depressed about the summer. Her injury, in her opinion, kept her from being the ultimate boss she wanted to be. I'm trying to ensure that she's done well in spite of it. I think it's working, but it's kind of eerie, like I'm staring into a mirror. She's demonstrating a lot of my personality quirks that I think belong to my bad side. Maybe I should start taking my own advice...
Anyway, much great progress in Enter the Matrix. However, I'm playing a stage where I have to pull sniper duty in between beating down some of the enemy. My mouse is a bit jittery, even with sensitivity down, and thus I can't get a good bead on the opposition, who take my partner down pretty quickly. Obviously, cheats and such wouldn't work, since the team exercises don't carry that kind of protection. So I'll just take some time off, maybe play some other games, likely do work, and then I'll go back at it again sometime later.
And the last bit from me, a played sub for a my sister's softball team tonight. Went 3-3 with three singles, scored a run, but probably had an error or two in the field. We won the game, however, and so they advance to the next round of the tournament. Perhaps if I had a more hours-stable job, I might play softball next summer. I'll be in town as it is...
