Early Morning raving...
Boy. Rain delayed a bit for work today while we wait for the wood to dry out from the thrashing it likely got from yesterday and this morning. Of course, it was a little weird when my boss's boss called this morning to tell me. I can take it in stride, though, because last year he was my boss. He got promoted and I decided I didn't want his job. Or something like that. So I'm a grunt again, and my days can be pretty long.
This year has been especially fun since my boss tore something in her foot so well she has to wear a hard cast and had screws put in her foot to make it heal properly. She, luckily was able to convince our band director to keep her in while it healed, which will be most of the season. So I've been playing chauffeur for her until she learned to drive left-footed. Looks like things are going to be okay for her.
However, I don't seem to remember this much rain last year... then again, last year was supposedly not normal. This year is definitely more so in the sense that it's behaving like a warm spring with punctuated bursts of summer, when it's not raining. Ah, Michigan...
