Musings on a color

Hrm. Been told that I should find ten things that are purple that I like. This is a bit more difficult than initially thought, because unlike other people around me, I don’t particularly have purple on the brain as a primary color. That said, I will do me best.

For those wanting to participate, leave a comment indicating so, and I will attempt to find you a hue that you can find 10 things to like.

1) I have more than one of my preferred shirt style in purple. A dress shirt as well.

2) Figment is nearby, and he is mostly purple.

3) I also have a Gengar around as a pillow, and that’s a lot of awesomely-purple stuff.

4) Done properly, eggplant is quite tasty. Also purple.

5) Pidgin uses “libpurple” as an important part of its program, and I very much like Pidgin, so by extension, I like libpurple.

6) The music stand I have in my house is purple. I enjoy having a stand to practice music with, so purple strikes again.

7) Raisins, and the grapes they come from.

8) Purple is one of the colors of my pushpins, which hang many, many posters that I like.

9) Purple is the official third color of Halloween, one of my very favorite holidays (and not just for the candy)

10) Purple is often the royal color, and as Mel Brooks puts it, “It’s good to be the king.”

Adium, the Mac chat client I use, also uses libpurple. :) It's basically the Mac equivalent of Pidgin, but with Mac OS X services and user interface. It's pretty cool, too. ^^;;

I've used Adium before when I had an OSX Mac to work with - it is indeed awesome. Multiplatform clients rock majorly.

What do you play? I used to play clarinet and bari sax, and tried to teach myself a bit of piano, but haven't played in years.

Okay. I shall, once "Black is the color of death, and death would be more comfortable than living right now" isn't the first thing that pops into my head.
