D'oh!
First, even though I went back and edited it, for those who may be experiencing linguistic confusion: I did not become the next drum major of my band. English gets a little wonky at times, and so thus I must clarify my meaning.
So what did I do today? Well, I sat in on a lecture where I got to see some beautiful frescoes to help me get an understanding of the Pauline tradition of exegesis. I think I napped ever so slightly in that one, because I went from birth to last supper in my memory. I needed the sleep, probably. Beyond that, the new officer induction/final business meeting banquet was today. Then, a bouncing around, watching the Wings lose in OT to Calgary (Meh. It happens.) and watching the MXC almost live special. Interesting stuff, MXC. Makes me wonder what the actual show is about.
Nothing of import from there on out, so my day ends fairly uneventfully. Tomorrow I might think about studying a bit, but probably won't.
Oh, yeah. I watched Puni Puni Poemy today... that went well beyond Excel Saga in pure, Blue-Mushroom inspired insanity. Thus, I loved it. Although, I might be slightly embarrassed to show it to other people (actually, roommate N was watching it with me and he enjoyed it, although he said it was "seriously f---ked up" several times during the episodes. Even so, that was good. It helped me fill my quota of really weird things for a few weeks.
If I can make it through the summer, life will probably get back on an even keel for me. However, I'd like things to straighten out in about the next week or so... anyway.

From what I can tell, Takashi's Castle (which MXC is based on) is really about as MXC is, except with diffrent dubbing jobs. Apparently any game show will grab decent ratings. Then there are the game show hybrids. *shutters*
I remember Puni Puni. I saw that at an anime con a few weeks ago. Definately above and beyond Excel. Although I hear it described as an OVA, which I hope there is more.

As best I can tell, it was only a two-episode OVA. Which kinda sucks, but they'd already done the weirdness thing with Excel Saga, and so Puni Puni was, at my guess, trying to get away with what they couldn't in Excel Saga. Doesn't make it any less funny.
