Laziness and Love Memes

The concept of laziness is often used as a shortcut, usually without complete information, and with a strong bout of moral judgment and "should" attached.

Since I've been taking some sick time recently after fighting with my own head about whether I deserve to heal up and rest or whether I'm "really" sick enough to deserve it (despite some obvious symptoms and signs of it), this piece about laziness what it entails has significant relevance.

I think it might have been helpful, but the head seems to insist that complete recovery is the acceptable outcome of a rest day, even when that's definitely not the case.

Complete recovery cannot be the only acceptable outcome of a rest day. Some shit takes TIME. Esp if the stressor doesn't go away!

Exactly. But even with persistent symptoms, sometimes the head feels guilty about taking time to heal.
