There will be protestations everywhere.

After the resignation/dismissal of Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III and subsequent installation of Matthew G. Whitaker as Attorney General of the United States, MoveOn.org Civic Action has called for protests at 5 pm local time across the United States in response. Even with the possibility that the new appointee is not going to have an easy time of subverting the investigation, ([personal profile] jjhunter braved the wild lands of Twitter to find that thread) the lack of precedent by appointing someone theoretically friendlier to the Administrator rather than letting the deputy serve as Acting Attorney General is worth paying attention to.

Plan accordingly, whether in the time it will add to your route, or in making sure you arrive with enough time to join the crowd.

Ours started out really weird. My wife emailed me a link during Wednesday night, I clicked on it and the date said November 22. I am not making this up. When she got up around noon and asked me if I was going, I pointed out the date. She said no, it's today. We both went back to the site, it persistently said 11/22. She did some digging, found another site for Alamogordo that said 11/8: apparently the march coordinator created a second march with the correct date.

Wife had to work, I went. We had over a dozen people, it was fun. We were out for about an hour until it was too dark for signs to be readily visible.
