And we're back...
Jul. 20th, 2003 02:44 pm...and there was much fun. Went bowling with some friends last night. One of our esteemed comrades was able to put some pins in the gutter beyond the reach of the sweepers. Later, he then knocked one of those pins up into the ball return. Almost nobody else saw it. So when the balls didn't come back, we summoned someone to look after things, and he went back and said there were no balls backstage. So my friend kindly let him in on the secret. Two floorboards brought up later, and the pin was on its way back to the back.
I bowled fairly decently, above 100 pins all my games. Of course, at the end, we were speed-bowling, which means that before the pins are set and the sweepers are clear, the ball is on it's way down... hopefully, everything clears out before the ball gets there. Right at the end, one of my friends threw too early and so... whack. Was absolutely funny, although not as good as the pin in the ball return routine. Then we went and played Tetris Worlds for a bit and watched some episodes of Family Guy... that was (is?) a pretty funny show, especially with convenient sound effects covering up possible profanities that Fox would have never let them get away with. Who knows, perhaps some will arrive later.
In any case, the weather is nice, kind of pleasantly cool with a hint of rain-threat. Won't happen, though, as we have figured out. Save it for tomorrow is my official line about something like that.
