Sunday stuff.
Aug. 10th, 2003 09:20 pmThe day of rest is once again a very nice day. The parents came in, we toured the malls for a bit and I looked at a lot of stuff. Looked, because I don' t think I can buy anything really, until my bonus check arrives and I have some semblance of what's going on there.
Paperwork arrived that I need to fill out. For loans and stuff. Booooring.
However, my print from Illiad arrived, and so I now have my contest prize! I feel cool now, and I need to think about frames and mattes and neat stuff like that. I'm just tickled that it did so well. I now have something to say for my abilities as a hack... I can take someone else's artwork and make a decent strip once in a while. Perhaps I should be able to do that kind of stuff to my own comic. Maybe. Maybe not. We'll see. Perhaps if I could get a scanner working at some point, I'd improve on my drawing skill. Either that, or I need some tutorial books n' stuff so that I can figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. Probably the tutorials to start with.
Oh, well. The relentless tick of the clock reminds me of all the stuff I have coming up. It'll be nice to get back into school and stuff, but until then, I can use some stuff to do. That's why![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
getsource's showing me Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a wonderful thing. It's totally free, it's really cool, and it's about 300 MB. So those on cable and broadband, it runs smoothly and wonderfully. 56K can connect, but they're kind of limited to small maps of few players. I've played a bit, and I have to say I like the idea. The maps are interesting, and the character classes all have their uses. I like it a lot.
