No workies tomorrow, barring insanity or sudden changes of heart and stuff. Tomorrow, I might have a setup to interview on Friday for a first semester job. Gotta make some pocket change somehow, or something like that. The problem is it will be a dash from South Campus to Medical Campus (i.e. Marching Band to work) in about 45 minutes. Something I can do on foot, I'm sure, it just may mean that on my two work days, I pack dinner and take it with me on the way to work. Nothing wrong with a couple of sandwiches here and there. I'm used to it from summer work and all that. If I really get antsy, I could stop at the Union or League on the way there and get fast food. I might be shelving books, so I won't be able to do homework, but I looked at my schedule and it looks like I'll be able to fit it in on those days.
I think my dear older sister is at the end of her wits, simply because she continues to try and put her degree to work and has nothing to show for it yet.
Yet again I say... band week loometh. Ten-hour days of the fundamentals and worse. Luckily, as the shirt says this year, "Those who stay will be champions." It goes from ten-hour days to 90-minute rehearsals and school. It actually does get better. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm definitely a bando at heart, and I think it's one of the few social groups that I can be comfortable around.
Yeah, I'm shy. Painfully so, in fact. I'd rather just not be noticed than do something stupid or out of place. So I'm not much of a party person, and I tend to keep to myself. Strange how I can be prolific on the net with writing and posting and stuff like that, but in real life I try so hard to be invisible. Maybe it's because you can't see me. Of course, those who do see me will probably snicker.
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy will be on in about a 1/2 hour. I think I'll switch between that and the Tigers game during the commercials. Yeah, another of those strange things. I watch the Tigers. But I also catch SportsCenter to watch Barry go yard and Ichiro do his thing. (Ichiro's a fascinating player. He's what I think baseball players should be: able to field, run, and more interested in a base hit than in a home run. He's got command of the fundamentals so well that it's great to watch him play.)
Watching the Little League World series is pretty interesting too. I never played true Little League, and I kind of regret it. But then, I did my part and umpired for the hometown's softball league. Maybe I'll ump IM softball and play next summer, too. Oh, well. Idle speculation. got to get through a few tuition bills first.
