...it was a Sunday, and thus it was a goof-off sort of day.

Go USA Women's Soccer. Boo Lions. Stupid Tigers. Today was a pretty sports sort of day. Watched some other football and football (think about it, and you'll understand)

Played Gunbound. Getting better. Slowly. Starting to find the shooting touch earlier and being able to adjust to it faster. However, I'm still sucking pretty bad.

Watched another episode of Last Exile today. Good stuff, that. Awaiting eagerly the Stateside release. Got to loan my first volume of Haibane Renmei to my Utopias teacher to see if he agrees with me about it being a possible utopia.

Shocked a few people playing Gunbound today, too. (Major warning: Schtuff to follow. If you're just interested in the day-to-day, stop reading now...)

Apparently, my consistent attempts at complete sentences, good grammar and spelling, and proper punctuation have caused more than a few people to wonder who I am. I guess I must come off as someone older or something... I think it's kinda funny, that kids are too used to seeing l33tspeak and LOL, OMG! that anybody who uses longhand must be ancient to them. Now, I'll admit, I complain a lot about my inability to shoot the target or that I tend to hit teammates and not enemies. I dunno. I'd like to crawl around inside someone's head and see what they think of me, meeting me like that.

I also used the boot and tossed someone after the end of a game after the language got a bit too abusive toward me for my tastes. (Rule 1: The guy in control of the room is not the person to be offending...) I can take a little bit, but a constant barrage, to me, indicates a lack of manners that should be corrected. Maybe it's that part of me that convinced me to get in on the Knights of Jubal that also leveled the charge against letting the person stay.

Which brings me to my final point for tonight... why don't people read the signs? If the room says, "Newbies only -- no axes!" why, why, do people with an Axe rating enter the room? Admittedly, I'll be flexible about playing with them, (usually, the other people don't care who's there, but I do. Must be another of those silly quirks of mine) but I'd rather play with people of my own "skill level" rather than being whomped by those above me. When I get there, I'll play with you. Not before. I've been tempted to just lay down the law on the people who do come in, but I usually just tell them they're overqualified for the room. They do often leave after that, although I usually catch some flak for it. RTFS, people. I don't want to password-protect a game just so that I can keep you out. In fact, that would almost ensure that nobody plays with me.

Anyway, so that's the bit for tonight. Tomorrow, the classes begin anew... argh. And there's papers due soon, too...
