No FFX. Thus, an early bedtime. Have much to do tomorrow. Checks and stuff needing deposits and all that.

Go Red Sox. Go Cubs. Go Roommate N, who has managed to have a breakthrough on a program so that he's nearly done.

Anything else? Not really. Been playing at some questions that Jamie's been doing on the Clan of the Cats forums. Some other stuff, but generally, nothing of import to my life, as usual.

welahWelah's been doing well lately. I think he's finally trying to make himself happy. I'm all for it. I'll admit that when the opportunity to exercise tolerance lands right inside your friend circle, it may be a little harder to truly exercise it. I'm still not sure whether I'm truly, completely, okay with things regarding him, but he's never given me a reason not to be. I think I'm going to be okay with it, given enough time so that the irrational fears that something (societal programming?) has put in my head about that will go away.

Which reminds me. He still has most of my anime. But I need to give him my Haibane Renmei, too. (Volume 2 comes out this month...) And probably a few other things with it. Oh, well.

My dear older sister's doing well. She found a job that she enjoys doing, and so I'm happy for her. I'll get all the sordid details when she comes back in town for the feetball game. My uncle the priest is also coming down for this game. The Power of Coincidence still runs rampant in my life. (I think I actually need to give her a name one of these days, but she usually responds to Lady, for she has been one to me. Maybe when I finally finish the spiral of religious questing she'll have a name. Maybe not.)

Anyway, enough pointlessness! Off to bed we go!

More FFX progress. Restrained, because I have class tomorrow morning. A midterm awaits me Thursday, a paper is due Friday, and I have to have a marching show memorized for Saturday. So that's the end of my leisureness for a good long while. More than likely, anyway. Did accomplish things today that I needed to do. Hoping I can learn everything okay. (Please?)

Took a Quizilla from a friend's page. It's a lot like the other forms of personality divination. Mostly right, probably because of the generalities that always appear. But, then again, I do tend to get the same results using different methods, so there's probably some validity to the whole thing. I think they're fun, and they tell me stuff I already know for the most part. So. Here's the results.

You are Form 1, Goddess: The Creator.

"And The Goddess planted the acorn of life. She cried a single tear and shed a single drop of blood upon the earth where she buried it. From her blood and tear, the acorn grew into the world."

Some examples of the Goddess Form are Gaia (Greek), Jehova (Christian), and Brahma (Indian).
The Goddess is associated with the concept of creation, the number 1, and the element of earth.
Her sign is the dawn sun.

As a member of Form 1, you are a charismatic individual and people are drawn to you. Although sometimes you may seem emotionally distant, you are deeply in tune with other people's feelings and have tremendous empathy. Sometimes you have a tendency to neglect your own self. Goddesses are the best friends to have because they're always willing to help.

Again, no surprises. Ah, well.

In actual news, the Supreme Court has decided to hear the case of Mr. Newdow, the man who successfully challenged the Pledge of Allegiance as being unconstitutional for including the words 'under God', which were added right in the Cold War, to distinguish ourselves from the 'godless' communists, but that's historical data, and not a part of the point I'm about to make.

As a matter of separation of church and state, the statement 'under God' is nonsectarian, and generally would exclude only atheists from being able to interpret it to mean whatever god(dess)(s/es) they wished. The only thing it advocates is a belief in a divine principle. And considering that I think atheists do posit something that could be considered a Divine Being (The Absolute Rule of Logic) to them, I think by following the Religion of Logic, they do have a God to be under. That's my take on things, unto which I'm sure many atheists would cry foul at.

So I don't see the big fuss. I would prefer that El Presidente open his eyes a tad to the possibility of alternative religion and give it due recognition where it can prove itself worthy of it, but that's being tangential, and I don't want to go there quite yet.

Either way, to bed! Or something like it, anyway...
