I added inches to my paper today, and now it checks in at a respectable four pages complete. I feel so relieved. Of course, things only get better from here, meaning there's more paper potential as well as the insanities of examinations.
I also found out tonight that the trip for the Big Ten Tourney for Women's Basketball Band lands squarely in midterm madness. Le sigh. I'll talk to profs and TA's tomorrow to see if I can get things shifted around so that I can go. I doubt it's possible, but I'll ask anyway. Oh, well. It's not required, but it'd be nice if things worked out so nicely that I didn't have to worry about this kind of stuff.
I've also noticed that when I get typing, I tend to crisscross a lot of my letters, creating teh more than the, really. It's nice to have a spellchecker that will help tidy up after me a bit, but it makes me wonder whether I'm just outpacing my fingers with my thoughts or something like that. Maybe it's ingrained patterns asserting themselves before I get the chance to correct them. Either way, I still think I might want to try and learn Dvorak at some point in my life, if things get really bad.
Although Roommate S was peeved today. Apparently, she mistook one model number for another in one of her reports, and the professor was going to send her up to the Honor Council for potential plagiarism, I think, without consulting her to see if it was a typo. She was able to correct the matter as best I can tell, but it put her very much out of sorts for when I saw her next. I think the prof needed to consult her about something like that.
It appears to be that Kerry will be the Democratic candidate in these U.S. elections this year, as he continues to win primaries. We'll see where he solidifies on issues to see whether he's worth it. The Michigan Daily gave him a pass in favor of Edwards. It may not matter. I may be voting out of the two-party system anyway... and I can hear it now. "Go ahead, waste your vote!"
Oh, well. Bedtime. Lecture in the morning and all that.
