Time, time, time.
Dec. 1st, 2004 12:14 amWhich I have wasted somewhat by choosing to read manga instead of do work on my paper (I'll try to recoup that tomorrow, when band is displaced to later in the evening) The manga was at least entertaining and happy, and so I still consider myself having made a good decision, even if it is procrastinating. Tomorrow's slate is a little full with things I should go and do. I don't think I'll get to all of them, which is okay, so long as I get to most of them. Whee. Once I knock out this last other class paper, I can go back to trying to add pages onto my thesis. I'm at a bit of a crucial juncture, where I decide on both my conclusions and my methods of attacking complex texts. If I mess this part up, I'll pay for it dearly, likely by a shredding from my readers.
Bickering in Ohio continues over election matters. This is necessary bickering, of course.
Are we all comfort addicts? Do things like hamsters in hats induce false fuzzy feelings in us? Or are we just a bunch of morons? Is it time to break the chains of our own lives?
Maybe we should take a lesson from the carnival in Ukraine right now. One of my friends is in the thick of it, and she says it's one of the most safe, warm, friendly places she's been to. And this is over a disputed election, too. What would it take to induce the carnival in America?
Recognizing my own, ah, position as one both submerged and questioning the world he lives in, I think I'll go to bed and see if things don't try to resolve themselves in my sleep.
