...another day where I haven't devoted (much) time to agonizing about my thesis writing. This is refreshing, I might say, but I have both of my drafts back. There will be some thinking involved, naturally, and some (more) writing, but things are in good shape, apparently. I have a final draft reader, whom is a mystery to me for now, and I hope will be revealed in time. So assuming that I don't bomb out on my subcultures class, graduation looks like a lock.
Of course, I did get an e-mail today saying that I didn't get any of the full-time scholarships to grad school. Oh, well. Perhaps a part-time or some other arrangement will appear.
Speaking of work, does anyone have a handy, decent-paying 40 hrs/wk job in the Ann Arbor area that I can have for the summer? (And that I can take ACEN's Friday off of?) I could really use one, since grad school will be significantly more expensive.
Tomorrow will probably be an in-service, work on thesis sort of day. We'll see how it turns out.
While we wait (and I'm waiting to see how it turns out just as much as you), you can mull over this article or this image, both of which seem to point toward the idea that belief is a very powerful thing. Used incorrectly, it could create problems. So, what do you believe about the fatwa against Osama? Too little, too late, or the spark of something glorious?
What, then about the potential repercussions of Ten Commandments? If the Court should choose to interpret what is there, rather than what we are told is implied, then the can of worms opened grows exponentially in size. Perhaps not the doomsday scenario painted, but these days, if you make a joke, there's someone who will say, "And? I do that/think that all the time."
Or perhaps you can be amazed at my ( Superhero cadre! )
