The opening volley is something you'll have to listen hard to get - Teens turn high-pitched alarm into cell-phone ringtone. Yep, that's right - the kids are taking calls in class, sort of, while the teacher scribbles, because the teacher can't hear the ringtone. An A for ingenuity, most definitely.

If you don't have the cash for a manequin, or you have a really funky pose that you need to work out, consider modeling it yourself using packing tape and your own body. The clone you create out of it will tell you pretty well how things will fit.

If you're tired of having just a plain old lawn, why not get rid of it - maybe by turning it into a garden? Although it'll certainly be more work to maintain some of the plants, the rewards could be even more spectacular.

Slightly on the gross/odd side: baby born with reasonably well-developed third arm. Wonder if mutations are starting to become the norm, rather than the aberration.

More fun from the boys in the Propaganda Department - it would appear that advertisements and propaganda have been running as news segments on the television, with all of their disclaimers removed, so as not to give off the impression that they are fake. Can't believe anything you see or read these days, I guess. Although, the article does make mention that there are some squeaks of protest coming from the companies, saying "Hey! We put on all our disclaimers! How did those get off?"

Got dinged at work today - dress not up to the professional internship standards - dressed for the weather outside - apparently a little too casual - whoops. Oh, well. Also found out, in perhaps a more compelling reason (although there are few more compelling than picking up too many demerits and screwing myself out of the job) that in the dress I was in, the workplace was too cold. So I guess, as I make myself slightly more professional, I'll also stay warm enough. Ah, well. You live, you learn, you try hard not to screw up again. I've written myself a reminder note so that I hopefully don't do it again. Guess there's going to be a lot seeing of my impressive collection of overshirts. Which should be fun.

Anyway, it's time I tag off to bed, most likely, and hope the pressure breaks up in the night. Read the post below about the concert, too.

Not in a proper frame of mind to do anything but sleep. Hopefully in the morning, my chipper self returns and I can torture you all with my links and thinks.
