Adrift on the seas?

blacktigr, which hour of the day should I appear for our lunch engagement?
Well, not really, but feeling a little on the listless side. Might have been the lack of a weekend, and that unlike the first one, the second Xenosaga game does not have a balanced battle mechanic. There are some characters who can wipe the floor with the opposition, and others who seem to do little more than curl up in a corner and pray they don't get hit. When one must try very hard to avoid dying from the regular random encounters, either I'm fabulously under-leveled (yet the monsters don't give great experience) or things aren't working out so well. Can only take about so much of the headache before I decide to call it a night and think about grinding levels again another day. The game's time component seems to be incurred more by having to repeatedly whack very difficult opponents rather than through expansive storytelling.
Anyway, my problems are minor. Plus, if I take a look at this BBC article that tells me President Bush is linking Hezbollah and the UK terror plots, then my blood inflames and any anger I might have had at the game is diverted to the flamespitting exercise against the simplistic worldview that those in power are employing. Also, eloquent responses to the "FEAR!" meme. Also, truth in reaction to a church marquee.
CrusherJoe has declared war on True, by making the advertisements a little more... true. Good, smart, satire. We'll take odds on how long it takes for someone to notice and send a threat of some sort.
If the temperatures are going up, does this make nuke power go down for the count? Lots of heat generation that needs to be dissipated somehow. If there's no water, no dissipation... and then you see what nuclear reactions do best when they generate heat.
An interesting thought about protecting ourselves from cosmic wanderers crashing down - put a small rock moving quick in its path. The only thing that isn't clear to me on this is - are we expecting vaporization, or at least both rocks breaking up into tiny bits? Or is this explosion supposed to happen outside the area of the Earth and be a diversion? How does rocktossing (rockblocking?) keep the big guy from making landfall?
Finally, six random facts about me.
1) Tall. Like, two meters tall. Unfortunately, neither dark nor handsome.
2) Despite being tall, sometimes taller than everyone else, I can sneak up on people and/or turn invisible to being noticed.
3) I am a prime example of someone who has book smarts aplenty while simultaneously having the common sense of a turnip. This has been pointed out to me many times.
4) My brain works on free, strange, and otherwise not-necessarily-logical associations. Thus, there will be times where I laugh at something that couldn't be funny, unless you were me. There are also times where I will be able to pull a name out of thin air by stringing together a chain that starts with something that has almost nothing to do with the target.
5) I want to be something. Not necessarily everything to everyone, although there's that tendency, too.
6) I get along remarkably well with all sorts of people in all sorts of non-mainstream hobbies. This hopefully counts in my favor. It may create conflict, though, if I get along with people who are at opposed ends of particular spectrums.
Actually, those don't seem too random. Maybe you, the reading audience, can do better. Generate your own random facts - but unlike the current Administraion, only generate random facts about me that are true. This is not a Chuck-Norris type meme.
