[It's December Days time! There's no overarching theme this year, so if you have ideas of things to write about, I'm more than happy to hear them.]
I have a wishlist of things. I have a wishlist of things I would want for society. I feel too much like I should not ask for anything, considering how easy it is to look around and see that others are suffering more than I am, or have the potential to suffer more in the political change that is about to happen.
It's the same logic that exasperated parents use against their reluctant children to eat their food - "there are children starving somewhere else that would eat that food, so you should count yourself blessed and privileged and eat the food." Shouldn't we be doing something about the starving children instead? And so, shouldn't I be leveraging my privilege to fulfill the wishes of others?
It's not feasible, though, to be entirely selfless. It is noble, and those who can achieve it, I sincerely hope that they are rewarded with a better life in the next, or are showered with riches, allies, and ease in this one. And so I do want things.
I don't know what to do about creative outputs and things for requests, because I'm not really burning hot on one fandom or pairing, or even a small group of them. I don't even really know what I'd like for stories and fanworks or other things. I tend to appreciate just about everything that I get gifted with. And I like to just look on other people's tagsets and find things to ask for and offer.

silveradept. Happy pairings and moresomes, with silly things and switchy dynamics and laughing and play and the other kind of party, too, maybe. I could use some fun things to help offset the serious things.
Also, holiday greetings and good wishes are always appreciated, always. Cards and letters are great if you have my mailing address, both for the holidays and other times. If you don't, there's the correspondence post or my private messaging inbox.

- Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward People - I wish that everyone who is suffering is relieved of their burdens, those in trials comes through their ordeals and challenges with successes, and that we can find a way to all mutually stop trying to gather nonconsensual power over others. If there are a way of making sure that everyone could have their basic needs met, that would be a fantastic way to reorganize the world.
- Faithless electors - In light of the knowledge that United States intelligence was more than ready to pin Russia for interference in the United States election, well before the election, and that the Republican Party decided not to present a united condemnation of those actions from both major parties because their candidate would be the one that benefited from the interference, there's always a hope that the Electoral College will decide to punish their behavior and select the other, currently winning the popular vote, candidate for election.
- Spontaneous gifts. I was feeling pretty down and not great today, but then a small child came with some treats and a card for the storyteller at the branch, with a clearly rehearsed holiday greeting, and I was one again reminded that small acts of unexpected kindness are sometimes the best things to have happen, or even be a witness to.
And, perhaps, that I need to rewatch Hogfather. - Love and support. I wish that all of you have it or can get it, and I wish it for myself, too. Next year looks to have decisions coming that are going to be momentous. They will not be easy for anyone, and having a good support team in place will make them more bearable.
