Greetings! This is the Write Every Day Check-In Post for 22 November 02019.

I have heard so far that bladespark and carenejeans have potentially volunteered for December's Write Every Day post. If one of you particularly wants it, we'll be more than happy to give it to you, or if one of you would be really happy to give it to the other, that can be done, too.

Outside of writing today, there wasn't a whole lot of anything exciting, which was good, because all the things that had the potential to get exciting would have done so in a terrible, horrible, not good, very bad, way. So now it's the weekend, and that's usually the time where I end up catching up on podcasts, because that's when I have the time for uninterrupted audio streams.

In writing, today I put more material toward another Grief post, and fleshed out some more of a sequel project, and worked a little on the backburnered project, so it was productive all around. Somewhere in there, things are going to be done, right?

Day 22 - 100+ words on the poem, not all of which will end up being used, but if I don't write them down, I won't have all of them to choose from. I may be over thinking this.

Day 22: didn't have enough time for edits on the draft today, but I did squeeze in 1,355 words on the WIP. Have I left the hardest parts of this WIP for last? Yes, yes I have. Still, getting closer to finished!

Another 300 novel words happened. I rather enjoy this scene I'm currently writing! And I thought very hard about my Public Call assignment, but no actual fic words happened. Which is rather disconcerting as the deadline is less than 48 hours away. Why am I doing this to myself again??? (Well, because I've been lacking an idea on what to actually write. I might have something now, though.)

I was home very little on Day 22, but fortunately, I have library duty on Friday afternoons, so I was able to add 415 words of notes/narrative outline/maunderings for one of the two projects I have backburnered. This is the more nebulous of the two, insofar as I'm not sure what it intends to be, form-wise, but I enjoy adding bits and pieces to it, and I'll figure out how they fit together later. I tried this jigsaw approach once before, with an idea that didn't want to come together right away, and the actual construction of a story ended up being a hugely influential process for me. Not that this will necessarily be so ground-shaking, personally, but I'll admit that doing this a second time feels exciting. Of course, it may yet come to naught, so...

Sorry for missing yet again a day to check in; writing NaNo has taken up all my spoons, it seems. At least I made it this afternoon, and now "only" need to write _something_ every day as part of my other personal NaNo goal (write every day over 2k & write every day of November). In numbers, my tally is 3k for the 22nd and 2,1k for today, ending up with 50213 for NaNo.

sylvanwitch and I (as zwei_hexen) are offering to host for January, by the way; I've also noted down the other offers for the beginning of next year noted down just in case.

Nov. 22: wrote. Namely, restarted the fic that I threw out the day before, and got 2500 words. Obvs, a chunk of that is reusing what I had before? But I'm much happier with this version.

After a dry spell I finally got some words! 271 of them. Not a lot, but better than nothing.

Thank you. Taking everything together, also the lack of interest and support by family and friends who used to play an important supporting role for me, it's pretty anti-climatic this year. It seems that if you manage an achievement a few times, it no longer counts as something worthy or so.

That's unfortunate that you don't have nearly as much support as you have had previously. It doesn't make the achievement any less excellent to have done it a few times at this point.
