The bad first: Examination tomorrow. Feeling slightly sick, and I think the sickness might have an associated sore inside my mouth or two - those really suck. Didn't accomplish as much as I wanted for writing draft.

The good: Still have done more than I promised for draft, though. Will have a full week between this exam and the next one to study with. Or procrastinate on, but since it's the exam I actually need to study for, I don't think I'll be dicking around quite as much. This is likely a good thing. After Tuesday, I don't have any more classes for the semester. Also a good thing.

More good things: Surveillance Camera Beautification Project, Safe-Cracking as a dying art, Imagination is Funny, Phrases they thought you'd need, and 19th Century Etiquette in a Nutshell. That last one's especially interesting.

The Ugly: Ukrainian politics.

And the beautiful: Yesterday, the membership candidates of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, Nu and Lambda chapters, respectively, put on a Holiday Formal for the Marching Band, and the theme was masquerade. So, doing as I do, I put on my Groucho Marx glasses (you know the ones, with the bushy eyebrows, mustache, and big nose) and went. I got good crowd response out of them, at least in the point-and-look variety, the laughs and smiles variety, and the "that's you're style" variety. But, cool as that is, that's not the point.

At the dance, one of the piccolo players was dressed in a black ball gown with black opera gloves that came right up to the top line of her dress (whatever that is called, I'm sure there's a name for it.) Basically, where the gloves ended was the top of her dress. Now, this lady is attractive even in drill clothing, so I know it's not that I just haven't noticed her before (that's possible, after all, considering the size of the band, and that trombones are usually out front, with piccolos behind - but it's not true in this case), but for the night, when I saw her, I was captivated by her beauty. My best guess is that it had something to do with the gloves, because there were plenty of dresses and gowns at the dance that if all I were looking for were attractive people in cute dresses, I would have had a feast for the eyes.

So if someone could help me figure out what it is about the gloves that made her so beautiful, I'll be glad to know. (Or if you can figure out that it's something else, let me know there, too.) I know I complimented her on it while I was there, so the opportunity was not wasted to do so.

Lastly, some silly things - placed behind the cut so that [livejournal.com profile] sporklord doesn't go after me like I'm a flighty teenage girl.

Green Tea
Green Tea...
You are Green Tea!
Strong and very smart, you prefer peace to violence and very rarely take action if it involves confrontation. But you make up for this with your keen insight and understanding of the world and people around you, you have a very mysterious nature. Many people see you as laid back, and that may be true, but you are very intelligent and make good decisions.

What type of Tea are you? {-With Anime Pictures!-}

That's a double on the Green Tea - it also happens to be the type of tea that I like to drink. Perhaps someone's trying to tell me something?
