Today, I caught the tail end of a comment spree, and somehow managed to acquire for myself a title of Stewie, the mastermind behind the Four Horsemen (well, at least one's a woman) of Livejournal. Of course, as much as I plot to take it over, I'm always stopped by something shiny or cute. Considering one of the four riders is The Cute (or so it was claimed), I'm not going to have a lot of success. Information Overload, I guess.
Something most interesting to me: Catholic University offers exorcism course. Sounds like there are more than just neo-cons and fundamentalists interested in the upsurge of religious power in the world. Of course, an exorcism rite does need to be updated, but it's curious timing. Ritual killings have happened for a while - what makes this one worthy of bringing out the books? Is it that more people are likely to believe in possession these days...?
Speaking of possibly explosive topics, a teacher got busted for being a little too good in explaining things in his chemistry class. And then there's the person who's suing vid game companies because they were apparently at fault for someone shooting three policemen. *sigh*.
While certainly not explosive, the idea of a many-themed prophylactic is certainly weird enough to catch on. I rather like, however, the Disco Elevator much more. We need people like that to appear every now and then. Like the kid who was wearing wings and a tail in the building where I worked. Haven't seen him again in that outfit (I think I may have seen him, just without the wings), which I think is a shame.
Ah, well, revisions and workshoppings tomorrow, all in getting set for the second draft release. Speaking of, if anyone wants to tag a chapter and proof it for me off the second draft, let me know in some way that will also give me an e-mail address to send the chapter to for proofing. There's going to probably be about six chapters, with variances between five-fifteen pages per chapter. Again, if you're interested, e-mail, IM, comment, whatever. It will help me create a solid piece that I can be proud of.
