Monday come and gone. A little work done - not much, and I really should do more. Of course, now I have a lot of projects that will be breathing down my neck soon. So, I need to get efficient again, I suspect. Especially since I also need to get a summer job. Too much to do, too little time, really.

The battles over eros continue - at the moment, California's ban is unconstitutional, and the judge makes a rather smart statement about tradition. Just because it's tradition doesn't necessarily make it right. I pointed that out back in November when these things blew up on Election Night, with some examples that the trombone section understood immediately.

Of course, the real problem is, when someone takes one step forward, someone else takes two steps back. China, you're in the doghouse. Let it go - you're not going to risk World War Three, are you? Perhaps we should just turn their leaders into horses. Or perhaps force them into photography sessions like this one.

I do have some good stuff for you guys, after all. There's point-light figures in the BioMotion Walker. Just connect the dots, and see just how the figure really does reflect their characteristics. After you're done with that, just push play. And maybe after that, and a night's rest, you can Astrally Project and say hello to me. I probably won't notice, but you can do it anyway.

Yeah, that's it. Some more thesis revision's done, but I'll have papers coming due soon.

6 - I have a like of 2D and 3D fighting games, and Street Fighter was one if the first I played.

7 - Morton's List is the End to Boredom. It offers all its pklayers the unique chance at real-life adventure. No pieces other than the ones you make. No board but the ground beneath your feet. Simply roll the dice to determine your quest, and off you go. It's a really great game.

in that when someone might say "silveradept", i would think of you almost immediately, yes, but i understand that it has something to do with an RPG with which i am not familiar, and i don't know you IRL, so i don't know whether it is appropriate to you or not.

Actually, the first iteration of the name had nothing to do with any roleplaying game of any sort. It was spawned from a series of books.

6 - CotC, as I use it, is Clan of the Cats, a web-comic. If you're feeling egotistical, you could also make it the Church of Tina Chopp.

7 - Boardieverse is not misspelled, but it is an in-joke. On the forum for College Roomies From Hell!!!, the forum regulars, thanks to (mostly) loweko spawned a fanfictive universe where the comic strip is maintained, watched, and otherwised interfered with by a crack team of weird scientists, maguses, Big Science adherents, and such, with martizac as Goddess, considering she created the world of the comic. The Boardieverse refers to this universe as fashioned by those fiction writers.

6 - Harry Potter fan, as bad as it sounds. The Quidditch is one of the things I like quite a bit and could stand to see more of.

A short intro about pencil boards:
For those of you that don't know, "shitajiki" is the Japanese word for pencil boards.
The Japanese use these when they write. They put one under a piece of paper so that the pencil/pen doesn't leave marks on the pages underneath. Pencil boards are usually made of stiff plastic but there are also some made from stiff (almost cardboard-like) paper. In Japan, you can find them with many images on them, for example, Japanese anime characters, popular TV personalities or singers, movies, or popular characters like those from Disney.

I happen to collect them - sort of.

10 - The squidlet is actually one of many mini-C'thulhus that spawned out of the Happy Cloning Vat that Pitr Dubovich of User Friendly used, trying to create a clone of the actual Old One. That strip and others served as the creation of my Iliad For a Day submission last year that was a runner-up. The squidlet you see is one of the two that I took and enlarged. Larry, I believe, his name is.
