Done, and done again.
May. 24th, 2005 11:27 pmToday was another day at work. There was some copy sketching done, enough that I put some of it on the hard drive - although some of them have had errant lines cleaned off of them in their digital forms. There were attempts to freesketch, and most of them didn't turn out quite right. I still don't quite have the handle on things yet. But It'll get there. Maybe when I start feeling that way, I'll think about putting some stuff up.
I started work on your disc today,
greyweirdo and decided it would be an MP3 sort of design. You're going to get a full disc of complete scattershot across my interests. It's not my complete collection - but it will be stuff that's not just easily pickable from certain sites. There's also an exercise in creativity - tell me if it works or not. beyond that, it's basically ready, so I have to get the right envelope and then take it to the post office and get the right postage metered out on it and all that. I finally just got the impetus to do it. Perhaps over the weekend I'll put it in the mailbox and all that.
Today produced some fruitful discussion with
fred_smith over Instant Messenger protocols about whether or not the Ortegrity idea was a viable one, especially as a world-wide system. I don't know if we came to an agreement, but he noticed that the hinge for the argument, resting on both the absolute command that all must win in any decision taken and the volunteerism that accompanies forming any action committee produces several situations that may be less comfortable than our current system, especially with regard to taxation and social programs. If such things could have Ortegrity-feasible solutions constructed, then there's a shot it might work.
Then again, because of my angelic nature (we resent being called mythological creatures, by the way - both angels and dragons know better.), I might just be optimistic about this.
Remember that I took this and not Sen-Sen. His results are naturally, different. He scored as 92% Dragon.
Although if I'm an angelic being, does that mean I can’t rub my hands evilly and cackle at the prospect of this super laser that's being developed? And does that prevent me from throwing flaming sulfur balls at Dobson's latest psoriaoralitic pronouncement? Probably. Ah, well. I can, instead content myself with someone attempting to count all the possible errors a marching band can commit on any given Saturday, and then noting that with such a giant potential for screw-ups, it's really rather remarkable that the marching band commits as few errors as it does. Having done the whole marching band thing for a few years, it is very cool to watch a form that you've been working on come together just right. At the same time, you cringe when things don't looks so right.
I feel a bit like coasting - I'm not in a good enough position to do so, but that's what I feel like doing. My work ethic is a little on the low side, excepting perhaps if I really want to get one of these projects airborne. So it's time to make some decisions again. Hopefully, they'll be as good as the one that brought me this far.
Ah, yes, one of my women friends asked me a question today that I thought would be useful to pose to the rest of you.
What makes a woman intimidating? Both sexes are encouraged to answer - and do so honestly, if you please. There isn't a right or wrong answer, although there may be one I'm expecting more than others.

You scored as Angel. Angel: Angels are the guardians of all things, from the smallest ant to the tallest tree. They give inspiration, love, hope, and positive emotion. They live among humans without being seen. They are the good in all things, and if you feel alone, don't fear. They are always watching. Often times they merely stand by, whispering into the ears of those who feel lost. They would love nothing more then to reveal themselves, but in today's society, this would bring havoc and many unneeded questions. Give thanks to all things beautiful, for you are an Angel.
What Mythological Creature are you? |
