Yet another insanity.
Aug. 23rd, 2005 10:25 pmWell, the mundane first - one of my potential replacements interviewed today. So there's a good chance that I'll find out who will be taking my job while I go hunting for another one suited to the school of my choosing. I may not find one for another semester, though, so I may ask to stay on part-time at where I am again, as work-study, until something else appears.
Then, out of the minds of the deranged, well, come ideas. Talking about things in the channel is sometimes good, sometimes bad, and sometimes very strange...
So we were throwing ideas at one of the resident artists who had expressed her boredom. Chibi-FLEET came about, and then I suggested Chibi-Board. And then, as a starting point, Chibi-Goddess. The problem with that was, it gave me an idea. And thus I sketched out something very rough:

Very silleh, is it not? (If it doesn't show up, wait for a bit - apparently I've maanged to exceed a data transfer rate. Maybe I should move those promotional posters over to someone else's webspace.)
If you want strange things, or another suggestion (of many) that some aspects that call themselves Christian may not be the best spiritual guides, it would appear that Pat Robertson has called for the head of the Venezuelan head of state. We leave you to fill in whatever other jokes you're going to put in there. Mine has something to do with Greeks bearing gifts.
Nothing that follows can really top the strange, but I think that water-based musical instruments are cool, but probably a little weird. As is the science that makes an "invisibility" cloak through reflections and computers and cameras. However, if we're going for just strange, and permit to make a joke about the nature of my home-town, but I can just see a lot people taking up The Cheerleader Tradition. There's also a complementary Football tradition, I suspect, for the males who want to do rites with the Cheerleaders.
Did I snark again? Ah, well. Some parts of my personality don't change that easily. Worry not.
