silveradeptWell, this has been rather interesting. Hardware Hell set itself upon me. Whatever the problem is, there's some funky stuff going on. And it all started with that damned power supply...
Suffice to say, this will be a minor annoyance, with bad refresh rates and no sound. Hrm... might want to invest in a CD player from home. But I am, for the moment, functional. I will exact my revenge on this machine soon by dragging lots of not easily-replaceable data off it, then wiping the slate clean and installing fresh. If it still continues to be funky, then I will begin to request a computer for a christmas present from the relatives, rather than the entertainment device I had thought about getting. Ah, well. Point is, I am at least at a functioning level where my schoolwork will not be too severely impacted. This is good.
The iPod skins are cute. The iPod costumes, however, are not. What trumps them both in coolness is Transparent armor tests. What's weirder than them is the claim that AIDS is manmade.
And then there's the Altoids Box survival kit. Who knew that it all folded so well?

^^; I know how you feel...It sucks when your comp is being evil, maybe its been possessed by "the child of Demon Spawn" aka my comp's demon. (Demon Spawn was the name my friend’s comp) ^^ I was wondering where you'd gotten to..
Oh also I wanted to warn you.. (I hate to add to your computer worries but... its better than not telling you) A friend of mine had a virus that attacked people on her IM list... -if- my computer caught it, it might have affected everyone on –my- buddy list, (She was able to kill the virus on hers just by running her Anti Virus program. I ran my Anti virus program and every other comp clean up/repair program I could think of as soon as I was informed. So I’m pretty sure I killed the virus before it got to anyone else... This is if I even caught it at all.. ^^; I'm so awful with computers) I’m just warning everyone thats on my buddy list just as a precaution. ^^ I hope you get your computer fixed with out too much trouble soon.

Date: 2005-10-21 12:25 am (UTC)As for an IM virus, if I had it, I would hope my anti-virus picked it up and toasted it. I haven't exactly been on IM since the machine went down, so I think I'm safe.
I think I know what the problem might be.
