...this being the pacing, insanity, and mentality that all of my assignments are really easier than they look, if I just get uninterrupted time to do them. (You may begin laughing now.) Tomorrow, however, I will attack the pile of vicious things and see if I can't clear off a few more objects on my schedule. With the way we are, I may have to invest in a dual-alarm system and try to time myself to wake up in "light" sleep.

Actually, if you just want to waste some time or some other things, and are inclined toward GUI OS's, for whatever reason, check out The guidebook. (Let's see if that tag renders right...) It's got things like screenshots, sounds, and data on almost (if not every) GUI in existence.

If you like poking fun at loonies, I think you'd enjoy Five Reasons What Jack Thompson is Right... and five why he isn't. If you're serious about the way you poke fun at them, then you might want to read the deconstruction of Pastafarianism. It's very much a Calvin and Heisenberg show. Politics, while being insane, is not a loony show, instead, people tend to make things like the Why 2k sign, and write articles about why Bush won't be impeached. Although I heard scuttlebutt that there might actually be a wave of reasonably high-ranking people in the Administration being strung up on charges of various sorts. I'll believe it when I see it, but that would be interesting. If nothing else, the Republican party will have to hire better people who can cover up their work properly.

My inner music geek smiles at Odd Music Instruments. Bet they sound beautiful. Even the beer bottle organ. (Can you play the Beer Barrel Polka on that?)

And that's what I've got. What you've got may be cooler, more fun, better, or richer, and that's okay.

Hrmm.. there's not really every GUI in there. Although it isn't really fair to poke it I guess, just documenting the dozens of Linux window managers is a gigantic undetaking: each of them provides a slightly (or sometimes drastically) different UI (or, in the case of ones like Enlightenment, virtually infinite ways to set up the UI how you feel like it)
