I won't say anything like "The Juggernaut Awakens" or anything like that, but these last few days, there's been a lot of buzz on the blogs and places with very interesting material. Keep it up, people - you're making it fun for me to try and weave together your various interesting things.

Leading off tonight, [livejournal.com profile] amenquohi, who shows that even the President doesn't get the new Medicare plan. Maybe it needs a rewrite.

From there, the dangers of solar energy. This sounds kind of familiar, but I think I need to replace a few words before it looks like something else I've seen recently. Even so, it's not enough to prevent this dark town from installing a giant mirror so that they can get mroe sunlight in the dark times. It's the opposite of Mr. Burns's plan for Springfield.

Some thoughts about vacation - a good debate as to whether you should or shouldn't bring your camera along.

And it's still really farking warm in my room. I dont' understand why there's such variance between my room and downstairs. Sitting downstairs to eat dinner tonight, I was vaguely chilled. Up here, it's like I'm in a sauna without the humidity and steam. I was a good boy, though - I stopped myself from trying to get everything done and played some games. Ended up getting my arse handed to me by an opponent, but I got out before things got too bad, which meant I got to keep the progress I'd made. Gonna be a while before I can finish that one - need lots of leveling up. Wish I could level myself up, so that reading and writing and assignment work took less time to complete, and game-playing could be more effective per hour, or something like that. Must think a bit about the Rabbit Hole Day experiment on Friday.

Last strike for tonight - Internet is a social tool. As the firend pointed out when she sent it to me, "Fire Hot, Water Wet, and Electricity -positively shocking! - more news at 11." Sounds like a successful career in journalism is ahead.

Oh, man, do I have some links for you today, Silver... or, well, for your -next- one after this. XD

http://www.starovertexas.com/family_security_and_protection_act.html <= Graphic image at the bottom. Gubernatoral candidate in Texas wants this law put in place there...

http://www.livescience.com/othernews/060124_political_decisions.html <= Study on how politicians' brains literally block out reason on partisan issues, apparently.

Nice links tonight, BTW. =)

Yes, the "Dangers of solar energy" thing is on exactly the same lines as the joke warning about the dangers of "Dihydrogen Monoxide".

The problem is, it also reads a lot like some of the more left-field scams to get money out of the credulous public for "magnetic bioenergy realignment" and so on...

The giant mirror thing is great, I hear the Russians wanted to launch mirrors inbto space with a similar purpose.

Yes, it appears that there are just as many useless Brits as Americans.

I like that leveling yourself up comment, I've thought about that too! Too bad there isn't any probable way of doing that....just think how fast I could do the dishes if I was level 100! Or how fast I could read!
