And today he said, "Cool!"
Jan. 24th, 2004 12:15 amI attended the Collage concert tonight. Collage is a continuous program of music of all sorts by all sorts of ensembles, large and small, including soloists. For about an hour a half, the spotlights move around the performance area, only lighting the currently performing act. When one act terminates, the next begins within seconds. It's cool. Really, really, cool. Now, to go find some of that music.
Anyway, on the "Geez, not another one!" front,
lordmork gave a pointer to the Traditional Values Coalition, yet another Bible-thumping Christian group with an axe to grind... the usual suspects and targets. It makes me wonder where they all come from. The only thing probably preventing them from presenting a united front is that they all have different ideas on how to take out their targets. It's kinda scary.
On the off-beaten path, I've played the cute penguin game. Rather much like trying to skip stones off a pond.
I need to go into Wizzy's tomorrow and pick up some new stuff that's come in. Hopefully I'll remember when I'm in town, paying my dues for the Collage ticket that I got. It's only an hour's worth of work. It's worth it.
welah's home from the hospital, and apparently under strict orders not to "exert himself". Sounds like he'll be catching up on all the animation that I've loaned his apartment. Heh, heh, heh.
I've had several fascinating conversations with my professors of Sci-fi and the Bible course about the material we've been studying. It's fascinating stuff... enough that I could see devoting an entire life to it's scholarship and barely scratching the surface of it. But, hey, the Librarian gets to catalogue those works of lives and read them and become knowledgeable about them, yes? So I'm still going to be okay, I think.
Just so long as I can get my papers done. Other than that, I think I'll be okay.
