Boom, baby!
Feb. 1st, 2004 01:21 amI just finished watching A Midsummer Night's Dream (the 1999 version), and I'll say two things about it: Puck and the Mechanicals were good. The rest was only so-so bordering on the downside.
Enough of that. I didn't go do my MGA event today, because the other siblings decided to come in and have a late lunch, so I only made it to my pizza party for UMMUN today. Which isn't bad. We're probably going to have a few people over for the game tomorrow. Not necessarily a bad thing. Monday looks to be interesting, because I think I might be seeing all of my professors about papers that day. Oh, well. If you need ideas, you need ideas.
Apparently, I'm discovering archetypes in science fiction now, all stemming from the fact that a particular anime song (.hack//sign's "The World") has resonances with a novel we're reading in the class (We), and I made the mistake of telling my professor about it. After explaining the premise of .hack//sign, he tells me that I have likely stumbled across an archetype, and he encouraged me to think further about the similarities that knit themselves in my head in a flash of... something. So, whether we like it or not, I'm learning new things every day.
The comic's been non-updating for a few days because the server I upload to has been less than functional. Oh, well. So long as it isn't
maritzac's ISP futzing, I can handle it. She deserves good service.
My MP3 player is temperamental. Somedays it remembers the nice amount of internal memory it has, other times, it can only read what's on the card. This status can change from one to another throughout the day.
I think that's all the griping and cool things I have for today. So it's definitely time for bed. Go Go count your Sheep.
