Today was a bad day for headphones, for both of my pairs have now become defunct. It was an okay day for my coursework, because I just added on one more major paper that I didn't think I was going to do. To counterbalance that, however, I dented one of the papers that will be due severely.

Tomorrow will be a jam-packed day. In addition to classes, there's a Kappa Kappa Psi business meeting, officer elections, and the other interview I alluded to earlier, the one where the current director now has to step up to the plate and take a few swings. That, and I'm also seeing someone about possibly declaring a more useful concentration than my current one. It does mean taking on a thesis, but hopefully it will be okay and I'll have the perseverance to get through it.

Speaking of, the Tigers are above .500 for the first time in nearly... well... a really long time. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Wings start the playoffs Wednesday. I might be able to watch some of that, now that the Campus Band obligation is finished.

Congratulations to the University of Connecticut basketball team on their championship.

Had a bit of a temper flare-up today, reminding me, of course, that I'm nowhere near being a perfect individual. Stuff just kinda got to me, I guess. Hopefully, I didn't piss the roomies off too much, although I haven't seen them since I did. I'm not worried that they're having difficulties, its just that I would have expected them back by now (or sometime soon, if the roomies stopped to watch the basketball game) and my paranoia's kicking in.

Oh, well. As much as I try to upset the order of things, they return to their natural chaos without my interference. We'll see how this all turns out.

So...

...today I turned in the sheet to be processed to make me a Medieval and Early Modern Studies concentrator. Which means that I have taken on the thing that I most dread: a thesis. But it may turn out to be not that scary. We'll see next year.

4x silly stuff. )

I was happy today. Apparently, people were scribbling positive messages in chalk on the sidewalks as a promotion to Do Random Acts of Kindness. I like the concept, if nothing else, and the messages (some with artwork) were very cute. It made me smile, something I haven't been doing enough of lately. This is, of course, counterbalanced by the fact that I will have three papers due in five days. C'est la vie, I suppose. But then again, I think I knew this when I signed on for it, so there's not much in the way of complaining I can do. I did decide to go here, after all.

I wonder how [livejournal.com profile] welah and [livejournal.com profile] torakiyoshi are doing. It's been a while since they left, and I haven't gotten any updates from either of them. Or at least, they haven't done anything to taunt me about how well things are going there, while I suffer here. The weather, of course, is still unpredictable.

As are other situations. Chaos seems to be the word of my existence. As a part-time Discordian, (no student that doesn't have a scholarship and a very good reason not to be given the boot is a full-time Discordian) chaos in small doses works well to make sure things don't get boring. It's the chaos in big doses that I'm getting right now, and it's making things a bit difficult. Even a good game of 1000 Blank White Cards won't work too well here.

And as the parting shot of tonight, you get A buncha "therapists" claim they can 'cure' homosexuality. How very interesting.
