...so I had fits with my computer over the last couple days - it kept locking up for no apparent reason while I was playing movies and Winamp (and even when I wasn't...)
So I though a lot about it, and it would appear that freeing up some hard drive space (from 4 gigs free to 6) has somehow made the problem return to hiding. What the hell? Is this a RAM problem, a Hard drive problem, or what? It boggles my mind ever so slightly. Means I probably need to free up some animation space. Well, with R.O.D. TV arriving stateside soon, I should be able to do just that.
So I went swimming (well, wading, really, and a little floating. Stupid knee...) in a lake today with the two roomies and a friend. Went well, although I had a brief flash of irritation at Roommate S over accidentally having my popcorn bag spill out into the bag we had brought all our supplies with. I think I've finally pinpointed what it is about her that irritates me so much when she's telling me to do things. There's always the, "So next time, don't do this" in the slightly patronizing tone. I think that's it. Now that I know about it, I can probably figure out how not to let it aggravate me. (And if I can't, I just have to hold out until the end of July.)
And so, less than a week to work. So my time will not be as consumed by FFX-2 or any other game. But I think I'm soon going to go at it again for New Game Plus and pick up the pieces that I missed. An 80-something complete percentage on the first run isn't bad, right? Now, to go get the rest of it. Or something like that. Maybe I'll sit down with a guide and see what I didn't get done. It'll probably be easier the second time around.
I feel a bit more back in the routine, now that the greater uncertainties have basically resolved themselves. Certainly less stressed out, although that means I should probably be getting to the GRE test and studying and that sort of thing now. Oh, well. Always things to do, aren't there...
