Today, I did...
Jun. 27th, 2004 12:20 am...almost nothing productive. Had to do banking, as I mentioned, but beyond that, mostly gaming today. Going back to the 'rents tomorrow at some point because of Dentist appointment on Monday. Also need to get paycheck on Monday...
Although I did get good news today, that
welah is out of the hospital, finally. I hope he doesn't have to go back for that problem again. And if there were some way I could get him back out here to be there for
getsource and
eleme's wedding, I would. Maybe if somehow, I could put together some really neat donation thing, or something like that... maybe having people pay not to be subjected to me, or something...
Yeah, I'm a bit more scared of the GRE now - the questions they have on the practice set sometimes ask you do things that only someone who was talented at reading people through their writing could do. So I need to convince myself that it's a good idea to sit down and do a practice test or two, maybe after I finish the practice segments. Soon. Plus, that test is expensive - I don't want to have to take it more than once.
There's nobody in the apartment these days. While this means that I can monopolize the bandwidth without fear of objection, it also makes things a little lonesome. That, and the Roomie assigned to getting groceries has been busy this week, and so hasn't gone shopping yet... this is making things a little bit more interesting.
Suggest that you read this article, especially if you wonder what sort of conventions have to exist between peoples before they become mutually intelligible.
Random Knights of Jubal plug, because I haven't had anything to say about them in a while, other than that we've gained a couple of new people.
G'night, people. Happily ever after is still a possibility - after all, if we don't believe our myths and fairy tales, how are we ever going to do great deeds?
