And today?
Jul. 19th, 2004 11:23 pmWell, I did work today. I need to remember to call the cable company and have them shut off the stuff come the end of the month (By then, I should be cruising along on a different connection, naturally. At the moment, too much of my ability to work and play is tied to the 'net. With roommates this will lessen, most likely.) and go sign all the paperwork and all that. Yay for me.
I have with me, a very, very, cool website. The Mary Sue Society. For anyone who's ever written or read one of those kinds of fanfics, you should get a kick out of this. Several, actually, if you're particularly good at what you do.
And then comes the usual nonsense. Cinnamon Oil Could Kill Mosquitoes Better Than Pesticides, Ah-nold calls some opponents "girly men" and people take offense, you know that sort of stuff.
And then something pretty obvious: C'thulhu hates 419 Scams. I think User Friendly did a comic strip about this at some point, but I'm too lazy to go through the archives and find it.
That, and I just installed a browser plug-in that let's me do the things that Opera does... the Mouse Gestures thing. So I'm kinda learning that, and enjoying it quite a bit. If the novelty wears off I'll uninstall it, but for now it's actually quite helpful. Maybe it's contributing to carpal tunnel syndrome as well. We'll see. Either way, I'm thoroughly amused. This continues to assist my theory - "Laughing my way to Enlightenment", even if it has nothing to do with Enlightening me.
