Or, the house of cards has been subjected to the rattling of chaos and is likely on its way down. I thought I had a stable job for this year, but it appears that the place that I work will be closing at the end of the semester. The hours are being reduced as is, so I suppose I'll have adequate time to work on my thesis now, but still. I was looking forward to a routine and things have yet again been thrown in my face.

As Adam West put it, "Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb." Especially not one that someone set up us over. So we do what we can, I suppose, to ensure the effects all vibrate in the right direction. I must be a devotee of Eris, since she seems to like putting wrenches into my plans.

Speaking of Adam West, maybe I should get one of my more electrically-inclined friends to build me a Bat-phone. Would be interesting to have , would it not?

What else is there to do? Grouse about getting up on Saturdays to go get bagels? Nah. Worry frantically that I won't have nearly enough time or resources to finish my thesis? Legitimate, but ultimately useless and counterproductive. Admit confusion to on-line applications, and what they're really asking for? Done, and done again. Be annoyed at my CD drive for not ejecting when I push the eject button? Garg! Stoopid thing.

And lastly, be annoyed that the supposed short rebuilding needed to bring my university e-mail account back on-line that was supposed to be done tonight has now apparently been pushed back to tomorrow because of database corruption? Oh, hell yes. Priority One, time to go BOMB kind of mad.
