Fighting against myself.
Oct. 5th, 2004 11:45 pmWell, sort of. I don't know whether I made things better or worse, but they have changed, most certainly. It's a bit difficult to express oneself in text, and even harder to try and correct a viewpoint that has some basis in the truth, but is the minor, rather than the major, premise... or it's the major premise, but since that paints it unacceptably to the recipient, it becomes a minor premise. If you're confused, don't worry, no further details will be forthcoming. But I'm still stuck in the consequences, whatever they turn out to be. I may have managed to wreck things again. I hope not.

For those who code, The Tao of Programming. Whether serious or silly, it still has useful insights.
And then there's this game. Monkeyslide. Simple, elegant, and monstrously addictive if you get the hang of it. Plus, a nice soothing soundtrack to listen to. Although I'm feeling old-school at the moment, as my music notation betrays.
And then, if you're the type that believe JHVH likes the occasional subtle joke - or you're like me and are convinced that Divinity, in whatever form it takes, has to have a sense of humor, then you'll appreciate the funny parts of this, as well as the serious ones.
Plus, I had this forwarded on to me, and as much as I like ya,
inspired_writer, I have to laugh. The current administration would not permit such things to occur. Even an administration of the opposite party would not permit such a thing to occur. There's far too much in the voting bloc that holds Christian beliefs to risk offending them in such a manner. And there is no mention of this shadowy organization by name in the forward. Plusthe whole premise is a fake. But it was good for a laugh, so thanks for that.
Scarily enough, my webcomic is approaching it's five-hundredth strip. I'm surprised I've managed to keep the stale jokes and lack of plot going for that long. Perhaps five hundred more will occur before I see the error of my ways. Either way, with class in the morning, I have to put my worries on the shelf and put my body in sleep mode.
