I'm having trouble concentrating. I don't want to do any more revision, but I need to. The second draft's due before I go off to break, and I set it up that way so I don't have to worry about it over break. At the same time, going over what I've already written seems a bit boring. I'm near the end of the review-rewriting, but right now, I just feel like I want to do something else for about five weeks or so. Too bad I don't have those five weeks. 'Sokay, though. I've found the easiest way to relieve pressure like that is to do something else, like write comics or LiveJournal entries, or spend some time with the holographic girlfriend and then go back to it.

I did get a good piece of news today - one of the two graduate schools I've applied to has sent me a letter of acceptance! Pressure's off now. All I have to do is wait and see whether or not the other school will have me, and then I'll make my decision. One without doping, we think.

Someone said that this whole SCO thing is good for Linux. Hey, if the alternative is BarbieOS when SCO gets done with everything, then definitely make Linux good.

New toy on the market - the tickle me Eris doll has just released its first concept sketches. Whether or not the masses of POEE or some other cabal will turn it into a finished product is unknown. There were, of course, the usual Greyfaced comments that the Eris doll would not be suited for the children it would be marketed to. No Cabalist would be reached for comment - not even the Part-Timers. They were too busy playing ten-pin bowling with balls that looked suspiciously like golden apples.

That aside, I think it might be interesting to take a look at the whole site of the Center for Tactical Magic - an interesting place about the roles of art, magic, illusion, and activism. All neatly displaced into one package for internal use only, adapt as needed. Especially the Establishment Curses.

It's only random if you don't see the fnords. Failing that, there are connections that can be made in the mind that looks for them. Beyond that, enjoy the weirdness and don't strain yourself.

And to our American conservative, anti-homosexual friends - stop meddling. You were just as annoyed when Europe and other countries voiced their opinions on your politics. You told them to stay out. Follow your own advice. Stop screwing with another nation's politics unless you want to give them the right to come screw with yours by voicing their opinions. Plus, you're making all the stereotypes justified - stop it. Work on passing your own Jesusland legislation, rather than screwing around with someone else's progressive vision.

Yeah, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, such is the way of both my tea-drinking and my life. We'll see what tomorrow may bring. I hope I'm there to experience it.
