Today's been a really fun day. In addition to there being no real classes (thesis revision continues apace, I did get a good idea on how to approach one of my problematic pieces), I came back from a quick meeting with my Great Books TA to find an e-mail in my inbox saying that I got into the University of Michigan's School of Information for the Master's Program in LIS. Whoo-hoo! That's great news.
Even better was the Whirlyball gaming that happened tonight. Although, on our court, the red side was at a disadvantage with slower and more likely to stall bumper cars. Even so, plenty of fun to be had by all.
And even better, I get to find articles about how Superman is a dick, the Bolt Gallery, which I may have plugged before, ancient erotica, and some Fowl Play, which reminds me of the Mythbusters episode where they do the frozen v. thawed chicken test. All sorts of interesting and fun things happened today.
Of course, all good things have some bad things - a University of Michigan Alumnus, Arthur Miller, passed on today.
All in all, though, personally, it's been a fine day. Hopefully this turns into a fine weekend as well. Papers getting done would be nice.
