Another weekend ended.

All things considered, it was a pretty neat ride. I watched a meaningless padded rugby game, to see displays of athleticism and be entertained by the company of friends. Elsewhere in the world, however, people were burning down embassies. Not a very kind thing to be doing. Other people were making better use of their time by building a computer into a whiskey bottle. Still others were devising a way to parallel the Man of Steel and the Son of God, which if you think about it, you could make a case that Kal El may be a Jesus allegory. Add on the short version of the universe's creation story, now with wiki links, and a parting shot about whether or not sex actually sells things like toothpaste, and you've got a decent idea of what the world around me looks like for today.

There's also this cheery and heartwarming tale of a high school student shipped off to a mental hospital because of some work he wrote. Apparently, in the zeal to prevent people from using guns on their classmates, some students with a bent for creative writing are being sent to the mental hospital. Something about genius being a step away from madness being taken literally, perhaps? Regardless, just deciding someone's up for the mental facility without talking to their parents is not a good idea.

Things to do tomorrow - shopping, possibly pestering the tutor to see if it all really works out like it's supposed to, the playoff umpires clinic, and all that other sort of stuff that I need to make everything all effective. More than I think, less that I want to panic about. And I'm probably also supposed to fit some readings in there, too. Boy, it's going to be an interesting day tomorrow. Should probably go to bed, then.
