And we're at it again.
Feb. 7th, 2006 12:26 amStuff and nonsense all shows up today. Like cross-stitching budgies and orbiting space suits. Also, questions as to whether people who are stridently and loudly against homosexuality may be repressing their own tendencies. That was the stuff. Here's the nonsense - iPods can make you deaf, just like any other sort of sound-producing equipment. A response to nonsense: Britain offering money to clinics that the U.S. snubs because they advocate abortion as a potential option for keeping the population down and not increasing the amount of unwanted children in the world. Further nonsense: Librarians branded as protecting terrorists. What, me, warrant? Someone's going to great lengths to tar a profession that wants to ensure that it's users keep coming back because they can ask questions and find out good information with a reasonable guarantee of privacy. If it requires a warrant to search someone's personal computer for data, it should require a warrant to search a library's computer for data. If there's enough probable cause, the warrant can be obtained. This opinion writer would do better writing for Big Brother than for the Liberal Media. (Yes, I'm cheesed.)
Last bit for tonight - The best argument I've seen for monotheism so far. Nevermind that it puts Our Lady Discord at the top as the top and only Goddess. It posits only one Goddess and a lot of delusions, which makes a certain amount of sense for our world. It might just be the fnord right thing.
