It's 1:23 on 04/05/06. Enjoy.

Still a bit on edge, worrying, perhaps needlessly, about the work that may still be ahead of me. Tomorrow, though, I intend to knock another component out of the paper due Tuesday, and then give serious thought to the presentation aspect of it. Also, printing off the handouts and the paper for Thursday, or at least planting them in the e-mail box so that I print them off before class on Thursday. Also, looking into other life things tomorrow. Maybe I'll get lucky and find all the stuff I want. If that's so, then I definitely like the thought. Surprisingly enough, doing all the other things in my life has calmed me somewhat - maybe it's that I can do these things and not go to firey doom of paperwriting. Slowly, we're righting the ship that was probably never really that tilted in the first place. But we're sure you all knew that, anyway.

[livejournal.com profile] uncle_pervy, sorry about not getting this to you earlier, but the statue is almost complete. Negotiations should probably be stepped up a notch. Also, for those who care, I will be attending Anime Central this year. My registration is postmarked before the deadline, meaning that I may not get my confirmation letter until the day before, but that I should be okay. Now I'll have to check out the guest pages to see what's available and what I should bring. Perhaps I've learned my lesson about at-con reg... it's fun, but it's really not worth it. I will be bringing my usual tricks with me, so if you're uninclined to the Masquerade, come look me up and we'll have some fun. Of course, I'm likely to be enjoying myself greatly at Anime Hell, and so while it gets cold in there, it's worth the laughs. Hopefully the fandubs will be just as good this year.

Something of interest both to my professional and personal thoughts - a suit is going forward for illegal dismissal of a transgendered librarian. From the Library of Congress, no less.

Something much less serious, but also library-related: The Librarian Quiz. Is it shameful that I scored very high on it? (Like, 17-18 or so.) Also, have a look at performative verbs, verbs that do what they say when said.

? block art produces police reaction. Apparently, hanging Super Mario Bros. ? blocks is enough to have people call them is as potential bombs. There was nothing inside them, though. So the potential charges really shouldn't have much of a leg to stand on.

There's just still an apparent lot of work to do. Tossing off bits and pieces of it methodically, however, will show just how little work is really left in this sequence. With both papers and presentations over, then it's the slightly more mundane task of studying for exams. It's not as bad as it looks, as bad as I want it to be. So now bed, hopefully with less violent dreaming and more inspiration waiting on the other end.
