Yeah, working both days is a pain. Plus, it makes my "weekend downtime" thing go up in smoke. But it was still nice getting to do all the stuff I needed to today. (It took me a while, but it happened.) I'm finding the Buddhist temple rather interesting - I think I'm going to keep going for a while. If you want to learn how to meditate, here's a complete primer on how to meditate.

Apparently, 666/2 is also an occult and Satanic number. I think this just proves the Law of Fives. Or perhaps a little more evidence as to why having The Truth is more often a trap than a release.

Something that made the round a while ago has apparently updated - the SubGenius and the goat trial is under a new judge, apparently. One with, as they put it "a sense of humor."

Another reason to know and pay attention to the adage about Greeks bearing gifts: Spy-powered telephones. Yeah, just the thing for a psycho stalker to use.

Etch-a-Sketch permanence and mastery. I'm sure we've heard about these kinds of people making unique art with the toy. Takes either more patience or more skill than I have, sadly.

This bit, might, too - but it's a pretty good example of a small-world phenomenon. One red paperclip: a series of trades that results in a house. Shows what you can do to get neat stuff when you don't have much.

What's the military doing to increase its recruitment? Well, these could be two possible recruitment tacks - white supremacists and illegal immigrants. Which, one supposes, if they should get killed in Iraq or combat, is no great blow to the conscience of the United States. It's if they survive that some people will have objections. Such is life, though.

We're all hotter than we think. If we get to the point where we can honestly think we're hot, then things go better for us, too. There's also material in there that says that beauty's not the defining factor, even if it helps a little bit. We'll work on trying to be attractive to ourselves and charming for others.

A long workshift tomorrow, too. I'm not going to get rebalancing time anytime soon - and I think that's why I'm not carrying jobs over into the school year - work on top of study would just slowly crush my sanity right now. Even with good practice, I think I'd lose it eventually. In any case, I'm finishing up my laundry stuffs and then going to bed.
