A long shift today. A short shift tomorrow - perhaps I'll get caught back up on rest and self before umpiring tomorrow. The highlight of today's work was that I recovered a library card that had been dropped under a bottom shelf.... with my bare hands! *thundercrash*

[livejournal.com profile] 2dlife gives us some good stuff. The effects of Paxil on a writer - it does what he wants, to some degree, but the method of it's madness, and all the side effect stuff that comes with it is a price he's not willing to pay. Along with the withdrawal symptoms.

Also, from [livejournal.com profile] 2dlife, Gigantic Plasma Screen. We're talking ridiculously large here. But better than that are Super Mario Brothers Stamps. 8-bit goodness, oh yes, oh yes.

San Francisco might get universal health care for the whole city. (Nowhere else, mind you, so seeking treatment outside will probably require insurance, but hey...) We'll see how this works out, and whether it can be made properly affordable.

Patrick Henry College produces a lot of White House Interns. It's also apparently a college that believes many of the tenements of fundamentalist Christianity. Who knew that religion and politics got along so well?

Michael Jordan look-alike sues Jordan for being so damn famous. Yep. The clone sues the original.

The best-performing funds may be the computer-managed ones - no emotion, no persuasion, just the numbers.

Anyway, I should probably get some sleep, you know.
