Huh. So very close. But at the end, when all the nation’s fate was on the line, Mega Manning did it. The Michigan Man does not get a perfect run, nor does Doctor Football. Right at the end, it was a low-scoring game, and the Giants won. Several of our field correspondents whooped in joy and lit cigars, believing that the end of the world had just been averted. There’s always a next time, though. Next time...

Quickly before going to bed, then, a small amount of material that will fend off those looking for a link fix. Ready, go.

LJ has added on a new feature - your public posts may be crawled for the "Explore" area and exposed to the wider LJ world at large. Unless, of course, you opt-out. If you didn’t know it was there, though, it would be very tough to opt-out. So now you know.

And last - bills passed by anti-choicers, including one in Indiana that permits pharmacists to shirk their duties if they believe that a medically-ordered prescription will be used for abortion or suicide, another in Indiana that requires physicians to tell anyone looking for an abortion that life begins at conception and that fetuses feel pain, although it’s been weasel-worded so that it doesn’t look like that, another duty-shirking bill in Pennsylvania, and one in South Dakota that requires a woman to view a sonogram before getting an abortion, although she can waive the sonogram with a signed statement. *headdesk* all around, ladies and gentlemen.

Anyway, bed.
