annaonthemoon's laptop to update you all on my status. First, this Comcast block needs to go. NOW. I do not appreciate it when maintenance returns all setting to ground zero.
Anyway. Other objects of interest: I've heard of teacher fantasies, but bus driver ones? As we know, mostly from the randomosity that appears in the Web, there are stranger things, though.
Secondly, using the same locale, same general idea of the act, but completely different participants and objects, fifteen-year-old boys held down and anally violated a classmate with a pencil. What we find interesting is the defense is claiming it's not a rape because the victim never said "no." Umm, excuse my lack of common sense, but generally speaking, if you have to hold someone down to do something like that to them, I'm inclined to say consent has not been given. Also, apparently, the victim has not yet said whether or not he was actually raped. Now, unless I miss my guess, is a boy going to tell a judge/jury that he was anally raped by two other boys, especially if they're going to be in the same room he is. If there's any sort of bullying thing going on, I think he's even less likely to say anything. According to the article, this was "horseplay" in the same sort of vein that the boys were doing. *coughbullshitcough* If it really is "horseplay", than discipline is lacking. Punishment of some sort should be forthcoming.
There's also a story about late night trips to conglomerate stores. Really, though, even though it mentions one store b name, this is likely happening in all sorts of other conglomerate stores across the country. You find all sorts of people at the late night in any town. I suppose it says something about those communities that strange is all you get when you're out late at night, rather than (too much) criminal.
That's the beat for the day - more perhaps to come later... assuming that the Internet connection gets fixed. I sincerely hope there's some discount on this month's bill for this particular problem.
