Nrgh. Must learn something very important, namely that maturity of age does not mean maturity of mind. Also, that Wimpy's Way of Life does not Work. Stupid, stupid rat creature.

On a happier note, the books I ordered arrived, and they're even better than they look on the website. Lulu did an excellent job with printing D.C. Simpson's books, and I'm very happy for having them. (They did take nine days to get here, though.) So I'll be enjoying those, yes, I will.

Researchers watch molecules in neurons at work. Rather good resolution and zoom with that device, there.

More Anti-tracking materials. One for disabling the GPS in cell phones, one for blanking RFID, and one for actively erasing RFID. Don't go creating too much havoc with it.

Work tomorrow, as has become the near standard with my life. At some point, it'll go away. Three weeks left. And then classes.

Just need to stop being stupid long enough to make it through.

You get to have BBQ'd meat after work though, so that can't be all bad. Right?

There might be movies too, bad movies, horrible movies with laughable production values. Or something else, you can never tell.

I see...I think.

We understand. This is driving all of us mad, really. I wish there was something I could do about all of it.

Idly, disabling gps in phones is not a great deal of use to prevent tracking, at least in most urban areas. In more remote areas where there is only ever a single mast in line of site, it helps, but periodically a mobile will ping nearby towers to attempt to locate one with the higest signal strength. Phone companies record the pings along with normal traffic, so all that they need to get a fairly accuate fix on your location is the records from three or more towers. Even in remote areas, you can still be said to be within a certain distance of the tower, even if they can't pin it down.

Hence the faraday cage. You can't be tracked if no signals get to and from your phone.

(Although by far an easier method would be to take said phone and leave it at home.)

Woldn't it be bad to disable the gps anyway because if you call 911 they use that signal to find you? I also was told by AAA that they use the gps from your cell phone to route you to the correct office (as opposed to the former plan of routing you based on caller id...too many people complained about being routed to their home office while on the road elsewhere, including me)

It was explained to me that "rat creature" is from a comic called "bone". I found an issue at the Library and as soon as I figure it out, I will explain it to you.

hokay, so I think I've gotten it figured out from what I've read and from talking to Mr. Adept -

The Rat Creatures are these (ugly) things that attack the other people/creatures, but they're also quite stupid and do really dumb things to piss off their ringleader.

I think. might have to wait for SA to confirm that I indeed understood it completely.

N) Actually, I was asking about the rat creature, but then realised when replying to this that of course you already told me the context (which I then forgot). Sorry. *thwaps self*

*goes off to look for Wikipedia article, in further curiosity*
