I had a lot of fun today, actually. Minigolf and putzing about with friends and bubble tea and food and yay!

On the other fronts, I was trying to find something I could use to make good backups of my journal in Linux. Found something that semi-worked, but it seems to be crashing hard on someone else. No fair, that. Anyway...

Is it possible that one could drain small resources from a big corporation dedicated to ideals you may think are repugnant? You might be able to get Focus on the Family to send you stuff for free. And if lots of people do it, the small doses add up... hrm...

Memepunks go bookcrossing, leaving works of literature and other things in the great place Ann Arbor! I hope whomever was observant enough to notice the books enjoys them.

G.W. Bush says: Look at me! Don't I look like a badass? No, sir, just a regular one. With soliders that have raped and killed, and then tried covering up their crimes, it doesn't look good for the guy in charge of the mess.

Speakeing of arseholes, Stevens is still going forward with the bill to transform the Internet into something more like a provider's paradise, rather than the free and open exchange medium that we have here.

Personal Submersibles, anyone? Since we can't seem to get to personal aircars, we'll settle on the next best thing - personal subs. Maybe, if you've got the room, a geothermal heating system is right for you.

Anyway, it's far, far too late, and I should be asleep. Like now. So, zed.

Bookcrossing is nifty. I think the idea's been around for a while though with a few other websites around about it. I love the idea of leaving random books in places for people to find them, but the bigger problem is that I tend to not want to part with my books! Nifty that they picked Ann Arbor though :D

.....is that really George Bush on a motorcycle? He looks like hes about 80 years old in that picture!

So, can one brew bubble tea oneself? I think I remember seeing tapioca pearls at an ethnic farmer's market in town.
