So I spent much time at work, and then much time here at home, trying to get my microphone to work. Once I finally unselected a lot of things and turned the volume way up... this was also after asking for help and the like.. I finally was able to record myself saying something properly. And from there, then, I can use my voice programs again! (YESSSSSS! One more step along the way to freedom! Now, if I can just figure out the intricacies of Wine so that I can play games on the Linux box...)

Speking of, my copy of Windows, the one I bought as a student with my student license? Yeah, the key's not taking, and so my Windows is apparently not Genuine. I feel that spending $45 for a one-use key is a ripoff. I suppose I should bite the bullet and call Redmond and explain what's up so that I can get my copy re-registered and Genuinized again. And probably have to repeat the process when I get a newer computer, unless that one happens to come preinstalled with an OS. The Vista jump is happening soon, too, so how long do I want to stay on XP, anyway? Should I wait for Vista? (and then the second generation of it.) Because it's not cheap to have to buy your OS repeatedly.

Taking the office with you on vacation may give you reason to sue. Or, perhaps, the need to take the office with you will give you reason to sue.

Make yourself prettier, with an algorithm! So subtle, people will tell the difference!

Street encounters. Wherein the odd situation of one minority being racist toward another occurs. And in the comments, a pristine example of Internet-Beta humor. I wonder if it's just the flavor of the months, and when it's not politically good to be afraid and hostile toward Middle-Eastern and Muslim people, whether the target of ire will return to being African-Americans. Oh, wait. Here's your answer.

Either that, or they'll continue to engage in exercises designed to battle a worldwide liberal conspiracy's attempt to take over cyberspace.

Nah naaaah, nah na na na nah na.... In other diversion-sorts of things, try Neoconservative fortune cookies.

Crummy Church Signs. Yep, the worst of what the flock and their leaders have come up with. Paired with... 10,000 reasons we're all doomed.

The end thing tonight is this: Moon Kitties. It's so cuuuute!

M) The algorithms: I wonder how long it'll be before people start using them in the opposite direction for negative propaganda, or whether they've already started doing that.

It didn't sound too much like a single conspiracy: just multiple groups with multiple motivations striking at the US. For the liberal parts, it makes sense that they'd be afraid, as they're certainly driving things in that direction (intentionally?).

...katamari... *has never actually heard the music*

*laughs, several times, at the neoconservative-related article* *much mirth*

M) Hmm. *nods* 'United by a common enemy', as it were... though I wonder about the people breaking into the medical database in order to steal identities: why would the other groups associate themselves with such people? It does no intrinsic damage to the authorities, seems motivated solely by personal gain, and would only turn the general public against them if the affiliation became known.

Maybe. Now we have a working Playstation emulator, that may actually be possible at some point. In the meantime, do you know anywhere where said music can be heard?

*nods; smiles* Quite amusing.

M) You're not being clear.

1. Yes. Taking this part alone, it's accepted: however, for the 'concerted and working in tandem'/'organisation and/or liasons', more is required to support the main point.

2./3. So, what are you saying? That the people in the linking will be trying to bring them into the master plan for greater effectiveness, or that the people in the linking will be trying to stop them? Which?

*checks* You're right. Damn.

Oy.

what's the point in altering a photograph of yourself to look better, when youphysical body isn't going to look like that? I mean...what good does it do?

hmm. if we can sue the workplace for a tech addiction...how about schools? They keep starting the kids younger and younger with using computers. Don't you think they'll grow up to be addicted to technology?

In terms of minorities discriminating minorities, I've always wondered if it's a way of that particular minority to try to be "on top". There's only one "majority" group, but there are tons of minority groups. If you're in a minority, and you want to feel more important, well, just put down another minority, right? *rolls eyes*

In regards to the cyber storm, all I have to say is "would you like to play a game?"

What was that a picture of?

...and now I want Chinese Food. is there a cheap buffet anywhere around here?

Speaking of crummy church signs, there's a really bad one around the corner from my moms' house. I wish I could remember some of the things that have been written on it..perhaps I'll start taking picture of it.

I love, love, love reason #1.
